We hope you are well?

We would like to tell you about some of the things we already do and some of the changes we've put in place for your safety and well-being and the guidelines you must follow while staying at Beach Retreat Broadstairs during these uncertain times.

  • We have changed the check-in time to 4pm to allow us to clean the property and for it to be left unoccupied for a period of time before you arrive.
  • All the cleaning products used are antibacterial and all sanitising products are antiviral.
  • Each room will be cleaned and sanitised and the doors closed. We will be wearing masks, gloves, shoe coverings and aprons which will be changed regularly.
  • All bed linen and towels are washed at 60 degrees and ironed with a steam generator.
  • The duvets, pillows and all cushions will be removed after each completed stay and replaced with clean items for the next booking.
  • All kitchen crockery, utensils, pots, pans and glassware will be put through the dishwasher as part of our normal cleaning routine between guests.
  • We will leave 2 small hand gels for you to use when you are out and about.
Anything we are unable to sanitise easily like the board games, cards etc. will unfortunately be removed from the property. Please note we will leave the beach items in the storage box outside but won't be sanitising them so please use at your own risk.

We now have a digital copy of our Guest Manual which you can access via the Web Browser on the TV, your mobile phone or tablet connected to the apartment's Wi-Fi.

If you or any members of your family develop any of the main symptoms of Coronavirus:-

  • a high temperature
  • a new continuous cough
  • a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste
in the days leading up to your stay, please do not travel to the property.

Where possible, we will be more than happy to offer a change of dates in the event you are unable to take your holiday, but will not be able to offer refunds outside of our usual cancellation policy.

If you do become unwell during your stay or in the two weeks following your stay it is important you inform us straight away on 01843 869703. Sadly we will have to ask you to return home immediately to self-isolate, provided you are well enough to do so.

Unfortunately if you do have to self-isolate in the property we regret we will have to charge for the extended period of your stay.

We would strongly advise taking out travel insurance to cover your holiday should you need to cancel or extend your stay during these uncertain times.

Please also be aware that we may need to cancel your booking at very short notice if the guests staying prior to your arrival become unwell and have to remain in the property.
